Supermarket collections allow us to top up our warehouse supplies, while also raising the profile of Swindon Foodbank to the shoppers of Swindon! In 2010 we collected nearly 6,000kgs of food at supermarket collections!

Every collection needs volunteers. You don't have to spend the whole day with us - but we'd love to hear from you if you can commit to an hour during the day to help.  We will be at Asda, Wal-mart, between 9am and 5pm.

Volunteers are needed to -

• hand out shopping lists to shoppers

• collect donated food at the checkouts, and give out thank you cards

• box up the received food ready for transport back to the warehouse
